Responsible Guest

The guest staying in the home must be the person who signs all rental documents and will be responsible for the property. Emory Lodge reserves the right to deny rental to any person at our discretion. Guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy of the cabin. Exceeding sleep capacity is a safety violation and will result in immediate eviction without refund.

Terms of Payment

A 50% deposit will be required at time of booking and balance due 10 days before arrival. Accepted payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. All charges are automatically applied to the credit card on file as per the agreement above.

Damage Waiver, Deposit & Excessive Cleaning

Guests are responsible for any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning during their stay.

Pet Policy

  • Maximum number of dogs is 2 dogs.
  • Please clean up after your pets. If there is an additional fee of 125.00 per stay for pets.
  • Smoking, Large Groups

  • Our cabin is non-smoking.
  • No weddings, receptions, conventions or large gatherings are allowed without written consent.
  • Cancellation Policy

  • 30+ days before arrival: Full refund minus 10%.
  • Less than 30 days: 50% refund.
  • Less than 10 days No refund.
  • No refunds for early departures or “no shows.”
  • Housekeeping & Cabin Use

  • All linens and towels are provided.
  • Do not move furniture.
  • Excessive cleaning fees may apply.
  • Liability & Security

  • Guests are responsible for the condition of the cabin and its contents.
  • Emory Lodge is not liable for injuries, lost, or stolen property.
  • Security cameras monitor exterior only.
  • Smoking is prohibited, Smoking outdoors only.
  • Conditions & Emergencies Weather, Road

    Please be aware, the final 1.5 miles of road approaching the lodge is private gravel/dirt. It is rocky and can be muddy after rain. We suggest vehicles with medium-to-high ground clearance. If you are planning to ride street bikes, this is likely not for you.

  • Life-threatening emergencies: Call 911.
  • After-hours unit emergencies (5 PM – 9 AM): Text/call.
  • Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: After 4:00 PM EST.
  • Check-out: Before 11:00 AM EST.

  • Check-in procedure:
  • Full payment prior to check-in
  • Guests receive directions via email and door code .

  • Check-out procedure:
  • Place dirty towels in laundry room.
  • Load and start the dishwasher.
  • Strip sheets from beds and gather towels.
  • Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drink liquids and take out the trash
  • Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
  • Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
  • Although we are pet friendly, we do ask you to keep your pets off the furniture and beds. We need to consider future guests who may have allergies
  • Lock doors and windows; return keys/remotes to office or drop box.
  • Missing keys/remotes: $50 replacement fee.

  • Recommended items to bring: Coffee, additional paper products, laundry detergent, charcoal (if needed), spices, condiments.
    Provided: Starter supply of soap, dishwasher pods, trash bags, paper towels, bath tissue, shampoo/conditioner and propane for gas grill,
